Bores on Ezra Klein

2026-04-21

I know very little about Alex Bores, but here's an extremely interesting quote from him on Ezra Klein [0]: "One of the ways that I have already used A.I. is that I put every statute in New York State through a large language model and asked it to identify laws that are out of date, that require paper when we could do something digitally, a bunch of ways of checking that we have requirements that are just getting in the way of getting things done — what Jen Pahlka might call the policy “cruft” that develops over time."

It is here. The politicians are consulting AI to make laws. As we have seen use of AI starts with the young and technical folks like Bores. How soon will it be until we have GPT written laws?
